Still She Rises, Tulsa: A Project of The Bronx Defenders is seeking outstanding law graduates interested in criminal justice reform, reproductive justice, holistic defense, and the intersectional feminist framework. As staff attorneys, selected law graduates will join a holistic, interdisciplinary team of advocates representing justice-involved mothers.
We are seeking passionate, committed law students prepared to begin a career in public defense. Successful candidates must be prepared to litigate and confidently engage in skillful negotiations with judges, prosecutors, and other actors within the intersecting systems our clients navigate, including criminal, juvenile, and civil court proceedings. Staff attorneys will provide comprehensive, holistic, client-centered representation to clients in collaboration with other advocates in order to avoid or mitigate enmeshed consequences that may arise from justice system involvement. Competitive candidates must demonstrate a commitment to defending individuals charged with criminal offenses or facing parental abuse and neglect allegations.
